ABOUT GRAND FUNK RAILROAD

Known as "The American Band", Grand Funk Railroad originated in 1969 in Flint, Michigan and includes original founding members Don Brewer and Mel Schacher. Grand Funk laid the groundwork for such bands as Foreigner, Journey, Van Halen and Bon Jovi with its signature hard driving sound, soulful vocals, muscular instrumentation and forceful pop melodies. The classic rock band became an indelible force in the 70s – during which time they recorded the 10 greatest Grand Funk Railroad songs of all time. David Fricke of Rolling Stone magazine once said, "You cannot talk about rock in the 1970s without talking about Grand Funk Railroad!"
