ABOUT SUGAR RAY

Formed in Orange County town of Newport Beach, Sugar Ray began their career as a hardcore punk band, before introducing a DJ into the band. Beginning their life as a mischievous nu-metal outfit, Sugar Ray sharpened and expanded their sound with 1997's "Fly," a song that became an unexpected number one hit. "Fly" managed to spend six weeks at the top of the publication's Airplay charts. On Billboard's Modern Rock charts, it stayed at number one for eight weeks, and it crossed over onto the Adult Contemporary charts. Sugar Ray’s energetic performances continue to pack arenas all over the country, with their power to take back fans to the 90s.
